Bridal showers are an amazing right of passage that can be incredibly fun, if you have the right games to entertain your guests. To make sure that your bridal shower becomes the talk of the town, use these game ideas to inspire your special afternoon.
A little traditional, but there’s a reason that it is a popular game at bachelorette parties and bridal showers. It’s incredibly simple to make, and can be homemade on the cheap, leaving you more money to buy fabulous prizes for your guests. Create Bingo cards, but replace the word BINGO with BRIDE. Then, list several facts about the bride and the couple around the card. You can play different variations: guests either have to answer a question (and get it right!) to check off that square, or just get a simple line to get a bingo. It’s fun, competitive and your guests will learn loads about you, your relationship and your upcoming nuptials.
The Newlywed Game
Everybody knows the Newlywed Game, and it is the perfect opportunity to give the bride a chance to participate in her own game. Before the bridal shower, ask the future groom questions about his relationship with his fiancé – where they met, when their first kiss was, and what annoying habits that each of them have. If the bride answers the questions the same as the groom did, she gets a point.
A great interactive game that asks your guests to get up and mingle. You give them a card with a fact on it when they first come to the shower: Where did the bride go to college? What is the groom’s favorite sport? The guests have to get up and ask other guests if they know the answers. They have the entirety of the bridal shower to figure out the answer, but it gives everybody the opportunity to discuss their relationship with the bride and groom.
There are so many different kinds of Fill-in-the-Blank games that can be played. Your guests can help you make your wedding vows, they can help write your invitations or share advice with wedding libs, and it can be an incredibly creative and funny endeavor. For your vows, circulate pages so that each guest can write one example of a vow: the bride promises to let the groom pick one television show per day; the groom promises to give the bride foot massages once a week.
Having a variety of fun and funny games will be an incredible experience for the guests that you invite to your shower, and it will help make the entire party a more enjoyable time…one you will likely not forget.
